We care for patients on many different insurance plans, and will be happy to work with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. Since each plan varies, we encourage you to become familiar with your policy exclusions, deductibles and required co-payments. Please bring your insurance information to your initial consultation so that we can help you get the most from your coverage and expedite reimbursement. As a courtesty to you, we will:
§ File your claim within 24 hours of your visit and request payment directly to our office. § File electronically for fast turnaround. § Research your dental insurance plan and advise you of benefits available. § If required, re-file your insurance within 60 days. § Follow the American Dental Association guidelines for coding and filing insurance. As the insurance policy holder, you must: § Pay any fees not covered by your insurance plan within 75 days, or pay in full if you have no dental insurance at the time service is provided. § Understand that the insurance policy belongs to you and that we have no leverage to obtain payment from your insurance carrier. § Realize that dental insurance policies restrict payment for some services, use restricted fee schedules (called Usual and Customary Rates), and exclude some procedures based on prior conditions or length of time on the plan. All restrictions are based on the premium paid for the insurance, not our fees or recommended treatment. § Keep our office informed of any changes in your insurance coverage or employment. |
