Meet Our Newest Dentist Dr. Peter Bullock

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Peter Bullock to our dental medicine practice. Peter joined Highpoint Dental Medicine in January of 2019. He has been in private practice for 5 years. Most recently he has been working in and serving the Quakertown community. Peter graduated from Temple University Dental School and elected to complete yearlong general practice residency through the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Dr. Bullock sees patients of all ages. He is proficient in Invisalign™, general dentistry, and all cosmetic procedures.

Q: Peter, what made you want to become a dentist?

A: From the time I was a child, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. I was largely influenced by my late father who loved serving the Bucks County community. His passion, drive, and commitment to helping others is something that I try to emulate in my day to day practices.

Q: What is your favorite part of dentistry?

A: I really enjoy getting to know and working with my patients. It is very important to me that every patient gets the best possible care that suits their unique needs. I strive to make each visit a genuine and good experience in an atmosphere that is comfortable.

Q:  We know how much it means to you to be practicing in your hometown. What have you been doing to give back to the community you grew up in?

A: I volunteer at the Upper Bucks Vocational Technical School in the dental department. I help run the community dental clinic there. We see patients from the community for basic procedures and the high school students get hands on experience assisting. It allows me to not only give back to the community but show the students how amazing the dental field can be.

Q: Many patients have had previous poor experiences with the dentist. What do you do to help put patients at ease?

A: I noticed patients tend to feel uneasy when they are not in control. I like to work with my patients to ensure they are well informed on everything that will be happening with each procedure. I walk my patient through each process as we go so they know what to expect, and this makes sure there are no surprises. I want them to feel like they are driving the dental care car and I am just there to help navigate. Our office also offers nitrous oxide (laughing gas) which can help patients relax.

Q: When you aren’t doing dentistry, what do you like to do in your free time?

A: I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. We have two dogs and a cat. (Note* they all get their teeth brushed regularly). I enjoy playing golf and working out and I am a huge fan of all Philadelphia sports teams.

Q: What tooth brush and tooth paste do you use?

A: I use a Philips Sonicare toothbrush with Sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste and of course, I floss every day.
